Well said.
I have found most American civilians cannot locate all the states on a map much less understand world geography. And those who do not will never comprehend the limitations geography places on military logistics.
You are right. Getting military supplies to Afghanistan (even for our relatively small force) continues to take an enormous logistical effort.

So you are saying that since Afghanistan was too tough to handle, we chose to attack Iraq instead? Rumsfeld said that there were no good targets in Afghanistan so they had to attack Iraq, and you are saying there are no good targets in Afghanistan and so we had to attack Iraq!
