Taikun:

Ah yes, the Moller Skycar.

As a pilot I am familiar with this little...ahem...aerial vehicle. Paul Moller has been trotting out the same non-flying model for 15 years. He has found a niche in the gee-whiz section of the mass media and has figured out how to make a living talking about a piece of imaginary technology. Should Moller somehow ever get this contraption into the air, I would never get into it given the safety and control issues presented by the configuration of this vehicle. (I notice that Moller's website claims that they have a flying prototype. Aha aha ahahahahaha! I would say that the only better idea than buying the stock {MLER - Pink Sheets} would be to secure your Skycar delivery position with a sizable deposit!)

To get an idea of what it really takes to bring this kind of tilt-fan (tilt-rotor) aeronautical technology to reality, try a Google search on the V-22 Osprey.

If you are interested in potential aeronautical investment themes, you might look in two places:
1) The long-awaited Sport Pilot/Light Sport Aircraft rule has finally been approved by the OMB. This will cause the US market for aircraft categorized as Light Sport Aircraft to explode in the next decade.

2) Take a look at the new generation of small, low cost (~$1+ million) twinjets. These aircraft will revolutionize air travel, offering affordable air taxi service to a vastly increased potential market. I for one can not wait to get my butt out of the flying cattle cars.
