In a Bear Market, Lizzie, basically only short term traders make money.

Do you mean making money by shorting stocks? You cannot short company stock options, can you?

yah but the point is, does my leaving SI vs. some trader leaving SI have the same importance.

The answer is no, this site is intended and was originally set up for high tech professionals, these are people in silicon valley. Everybody else came later and there are a bunch of hangers on that really are only here to learn from the insiders.

Bush won't win this election, I am quite certain. The polls bear that out also. But I am not going to bet my house on it, or my membership to SI- while my opponent- WHO PROBABLY NEVER INVESTS IN TECH STOCKS ANYWAY- bets a buck and pack of gum.

Here how about this bet for JBC (or you, if you want):

If Bush wins, I will have to pay $1 extra for every gallon of fuel I ever buy for a gas guzzling SUV. Also, if I ever buy a gun, I have to donate $1K to some childrens charity. And then the same to him if Kerry wins. Sound like a deal?
