"Bush has failed to publicly make the case"

I wouldn't say our energy failure is based on Bush not making the case but rather the politics of our country.

Where will you get a nuclear permit in this country. doesn't France japan and others run more nuke plants for electricity than our country.

I doubt you get a change in energy policy until people are really hurting financially. If gasoline prices go to $4. a gallon at the pump how many suv's and trucks will be bought?

As natural gas keeps getting more costly i expect policies may open up to build facilities for lng.

exploration , for oil,, if oil continues to get more costly perhaps drilling off our coasts florida, carolina, ca. etc might open up again. we may even be able to build wind power off nantucket where four miles out from kerry/kennedy it affects his view of the sunset.gg
