I remember the statistics of Great Brittain and Germany from memory, so I wont insist. However US govt debt as % ofGDP isnt even as high as it was in the 80's. I am not talking about all debt, that is a differnt debate. As of now Our % of debt to GDP isnt even as high as Europe. Though the acceleration is freightening, it is not at a ridiculous level by most historical measures. I believe the issue is more relevent in consumer debt exploding then in the federal debt. America is in far superior financial condition to Great Britain after WWI.

Look all financial Systems have cracks, the Tarrifs caused the break. In the same way the murder of arch duke ferdinand lit the powder keg of Europe.
