Local Republican Party Investigated By State Of Ohio

DAYTON, Ohio -- The Montgomery County Republican Party is being targeted in a growing campaign finance investigation. The party is being looked at for the possible misuse of some campaign contribution money.

On Tuesday, Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell announced his is seeking a new round of records from the party organization. He issued subpoenas to the local Republican party, seeking records dating back to the last four years.


Federal authorities are conducting their own investigation into possible campaign irregularities. The target of the federal probe is current Speaker of the Ohio House, Larry Householder.
