Can you imagine someone being upset by the words of an angry 27 year old veteran ... 33 years later? Me either. As far as calling some GOP operatives "crooks and liars", Kerry was correct. This was right after the faked photo incident. Remember the lie about an affair? And there are many more dirty tricks. I've read Kerry's comments and, given the context, I have no problem with them. Apparently many veterans feel just like me since they are splitting very evenly between Kerry and Bush (usually this group would split heavily for the GOP).

Military/Veterans 47% for Kerry to 44% for Bush in recent Florida poll. surveyusa.com Caveat: I do not know if that is representative nationwide, but I've seen similar breakdowns in other polls.

It's un-patriotic to attack war hero Kerry. Simply put, no honest vet would ever go out of his way to attack Kerry. Only a neanderthal would argue with Kerry's wanting to end the Vietnam War in 1971 by which time it was a huge, out of control nightmare, and in combat Kerry has a perfect record, plus 20+ enemy kills. These anti-Kerry groups are just extreme right wing partisans who will lie, lie, lie without conscience. Not a single one of them actually served with Kerry personally yet they slander him dishonestly as if they really knew him.
