I think Sharon is right. France is starting to sound like Germany in the '30s. Get out while you are still alive.

While working as the Special Forces Association Montagnard refugee resettlement project officer for 24 months, last year and the year before...a volunteer job I had done for two previous refugee resettlements, I worked closely with some Hebrew Immigrant Aid folks. My mission was to support their effort. Yet they were constantly asking how they could help us and they did.

I was told this was the first time they had reached out to assist refugees who were not Jewish...Nearly all of the last 1,050 Montagnards were Christian. None were Jewish.

I can say this with absolutely no reservation...The Hebrew Aid folks were as dedicated as the retired Green Berets. They even reached out to help Christian Churches resettle the Montagnard families they volunteered to assist.

I constantly got the distinct impression the Jews helping us were interested in assisting oppressed people. It was not about religion..It was about defeating oppression.

The final convincing act to me was when a Jewish businessman in Greensboro, NC, contributed the final $25,000 needed to buy the Montagnard farm. I met with him three times. Neither Israel nor religion ever came up in conversation. His goal was to help people that needed a little hand to find freedom.

I think the left, led by Kerry this year, has tried to totally twist the Israeli problem in the press and the Jewish citizens in America in knots. Kerry's lawyer brother, may be a breaking and enter specialist and Kerry may think the tactic is justified, but brother Cameron will not undo those knots with a coupla days in Israel last week.

Like Sharon, GWB has taken the fight to the militant Muslim extremists. Israel no longer has to fight alone. I do not believe a single Jew in America fails to see that.
