Hi Haim.

Just to clarify, I don't think a takeover of the state is in the cards either. However, I do believe that there was a constituency of the global power elite that actively planned for this possibility. And while much of their outlook and behavior has been discredited, the threat and constituency still exists.

I think what concerns me the most is not the existence (if I am correct in my hypothesis, and I may not be) of such a political constituency, but the inability of much of the populace to connect the dots as to the underlying motivations behind certain geopolitical phenomena. Of course, I don't deny that acting in national self-interest, bureaucratic incompetence, etc. also play a part. But, the "deep politics" of the matter run much deeper IMO.

And on the other hand, I could be entirely wrong, which is why I try to maintain an open mind, and question my rationale and conclusions continually. :)

Best wishes,
Glenn
