I tend to agree with much of what you say. May I respectfully ask which of the fuel efficient vehicles you drive? I am one of the culprits. No SUV but 2 gas hungry PU's balanced by a sedan that gets a respectful 32 mpg on the interstate.

ot: i would just like to know where i can get data on your statement that california has among the "highest rates of bronchitis, emphysema, asthma, in the nation." is the air so bad or do more cases simply move to ca. la is the only place in ca where i could see consistently bad air.
