"Emile, I do not belong to any lodge." Great! Maybe you just absorbed your bigotry against Christian Catholics by cultural osmosis? My bigotry is against incorrect doctrines whether they be yours, baptist, catholic, methodist etc... "You can't refute my argument with scripture Emile.." You've been refuted many times but simply lack the spiritual wisdom to understand the refutation. If you would simply go to the Christian classics of every century and do a search for your universalistic doctrine, you would find that it never existed. A Christian with wisdom would wonder why all the holy saints of the first 1000 years of Church history, saints who spread the Gospel of Jesus throughout the world often at the cost of their own lives, never heard of Knoch's doctrine of universalism. I could care less what "Christian classics of every century taught". I care what the undiluted/unbiased/correctly translated word of God says. "Holy saints of the first 1000 years?? This has no meaning to me. Did they write the scripture? Maybe you could explain to us why the Apostles, disciples and Evangelists of the 1st century, those who had been trained by Jesus himself, were so intent on teaching the Gospel to all men? What difference does it make if everyone will eventually be saved? Christ Himself said He only came for the lost sheep of Israel. He also said that of those whom the Father gave Him, He would not lose any. Using your logic, why should any of us try to reach anyone if Christ Himself has declared that He wouldn't lose any? And He is the Savior, not us. The fact is we were charged to go into the world and proclaim the name of Christ. Regardless of the timing of salvation. Christ said to do it. Period. I don’t pretend to know the mind of God, I can only believe His word Romans 11 33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! 34 For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counselor? Is. 40.13 35 or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again? Job. 41.11 36 For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen. The spirit of your universal doctrine is no where to be found in the Scriptures or the holy Martyrs and Church Fathers of the first three centuries. Why? It is in scripture. You just can't believe it. Your doctrines won't allow it. alan

EV, Duh!! The Apostles, disciples, and Evangelists were intent on teaching the gospel to ALL men, because Jesus told them to go forth and spread the good news. Nothing in that has anything to do with denying Heaven, to those that,eventually, come to know Jesus, as Lord, and says nothing about any "chosen" people. You, Brian, and James, have a really obvious, and faulty, habit of believing only the parts of the Bible that agree with your flawed human beliefs, and blatantly ignore the majority of the gospels that prove your beliefs to be wrong, and contrary to the teachings of Jesus. But, just keep on being dim witted. You are the one that will suffer the consequences, and I won't mind that one little bit. Serves you right.
