Yes, it is a good example of the old-boy network in our press, and how they keep a lid on things they want kept from the public. I never knew it before you mentioned it. You would have thought it would have been front page news back in 1981 around the time of the assassination attempt. I mean, it's certainly newsworthy that it was the son of the Vice President's biggest fund raiser who was the crazed trigger man that tried to take out the President. That's a very close connection. Certainly the stuff tabloids love to write about, but apparently blacked out, probably by the CIA opps who control our media (especially back then in Cold War times).

You might be right that young John Hinckley might have been listening to too many conversations his dad was having with his cohorts about how upset he was that his friend and political ally George Bush wasn't President. Perhaps that's how the idea got started in John Hinckley's mind to take matters into his own hands.
