Don't you see how ridiculous that is and lacking plausibility? A robot doesn't have feelings about survival because a robot is not alive now. Hello? It's a lifeless machine like a television set. Does your tv set worry about its own survival? The only way this can be interesting is some sort of marriage between robots and biotech. Something like Doc Ock in Spiderman2. Perhaps a society that takes homeless people and turns them into robotic life forms.
