1 Corinthians 11:19 For there must be also heresies among you,
that they which are approved may be made manifest among you.

Heresy has it's place within the church - to point out those
who are or are not approved.

How do we judge if a doctrine is heresy?

If a large number or men believe it?

GOD ORDAINED THE TEMPLE WORSHIP SYSTEM
and yet when Christ had arrived it was so corrupted with
the doctrines and traditions of men - it had overthrown
the Word of God itself:

Matthew 15:3 But he answered and said unto them,
Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?

Paul called it 'religion'

Galatians 1:14 And profited in the Jews’ religion
above many my equals in mine own nation, being more
exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.

The idea that inerrant interpretation being handed down through
the laying on of the hands of the apostles is nothing new.

Levites alone held office - they were 'properly' ordained by the "church"

Christians need to remember - Jesus was no levite and He was
never ordained within the Temple worship system that God Himself
ordained - God speaks to men when He want through whom He wants.

I have heard men preach that God will not speak apart from His
Holy Church - so much for street ministry :-)

They get carried away not with God's authority nor the authority
of God's HOly Word - but with the authority of Man...

Jesus reject the "ordained" preachers who did not preach truth
in His day - and publicly debated them - so did the apostles
and in fact many Christians who were not apostles - Christianity
itself was a glaring opposition to the corrupt religious system
that men had made of the temple.

Jesus said this of the temple:

Matthew 23:38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.

When the temple refused to reform and conform to God's word.

The churches of today are no better in my mind.

It is unfortunate that Emile could speak so much against
the beam in the Jewish eye - and yet not see what he himself
has just promoted as reliable and true to Alan.

I agree with Emile - Alan is wrong about hell.

The only way the church creeds prove hell
is in the way they have been proven worthy of going there
in the evil manner they have upheld their own godless authority.

I repeat "godless" because much of what is done in the name
of "Christ's Ordained Authority" has been utterly godless.
