JBC, you employ selective memory... more comments

wrong, Saddam went into Kuwait under the belief that US was pacified, reluctant, and unadventurous in the MidEast
which was clearly the case up to 1990
also, after a failed assassination attempt of elder Bush in Kuwait, the US did nothing about it in retaliation
so Saddam viewed the US leaders as spineless

he knew well that if we challenged him, we would prevail
to think otherwise is lunatic and discredits your powers of reason

Saddam was all about thumbing his nose at USA
why would he challenge air superiority with MIG flights into the no-fly zone?
of course, because (read this carefully) HE DID NOT CARE IF WE SHOT THEM DOWN

you expect of him reasoning and rational thought
he is megalomaniacal and irrational
this is a key error made by armchair QBs such as you

as for the museum, you are very very poorly informed
and probably employ selective memory
before the attack on Baghdad, we gave repeated assurances to the Iraq National Council, Chalabi, certain Muslim religious groups, and even some US archeological groups that we would preserve the museums
this assurance was made directly by the USArmy
the fact that you are unaware is alarming

Bushy said (read this carefully) BEFORE THE WAR, that it would be a short war
do you recall his CONGRATULATIONS aboard the aircraft carrier?
or have you forgotten that also?
that event confirmed his view of a short war
jeez, you miss the most obvious past facts that even a grade school 'B' student would grasp

Bushy said (read this carefully) AFTER THINGS BROKE DOWN FOLLOWING THE FALL OF BAGHDAD, that it would be a long war
you fail to understand that his new view of a long war was forced by events, whereby he had to move into parallel with reality finally, driven by those events
he had begun to look stupid and out of touch with reality

it is like Bushy supporters endure a complete memory WIPE whenever it is convenient

I will grant you this
some of my listed LIES are really absurd forecasts, intended to placate his opponents, and completely assure his mindless supporters
they were silly forecasts, like Iraqi Oil would pay for all war costs
do you remember that one ?
or was your memory turned off for that ?
perhaps you wiped that one clean when it became convenient ?

you need to embrace the wider connotations of what lies entail
to intentionally deceive on a grander scale constitutes lies
that is precisely what he did
bring out the Energy Commission Report if you want to see their ultimate motives
how on earth is that protected by national security clearance?
what could it include that is sensitive to our security?
perhaps they USA regards its entire economy as vulnerable, and therefore must steal a nation's oil
RATHER THAN SUPPORT R&D FOR FUELCELL TECHNOLOGY?

I have to say
the Bushy supporters are some of the stupidest people I have ever laid eyes on
some of the most intellectually dishonest people I have ever dealt with
some of the weakest I have ever encountered in debate and arguments

intellectual dishonesty is the stock & trade of Bushy supporters
say one thing, do another, then rationalize it
promise one thing conditional on event X, later X happens, and you break the promise, and either deny you promised at all or say it doesnt matter

the main thing about Bushy supporters is that the only thing that seems to matter to them (surely not the truth) is remaining in power, and securing more power
even if it comes in compromise of the US Constitution

watch the Idiot Prince rattle Iran's cage this late summer and early autumn
to get the vote for "back the commander in times of war"

you guys are unbelieeeeeeeeeevable patsies
your powers of memory are utterly pathetic

<<Bush has NEVER said that this would be a short war. He has always cautioned that this would be long and hard.>>

ummmm, your memory a little selective today?? He said the war on terror would be a long war, not the war against insurgents.
