Ask yourself what would be going on in Washington, D.C. tonight, and on the network news, within the blogospere, and in the morning papers, if it had been revealed that Condi Rice was the target of a criminal investigation for removing classified handwritten notes from the government records relating to terrorism.

She likely takes classified material home on a regular basis. Her house is cleared. It hasn't shown up on the news yet and I don't expect it to. It would be exceptionally boring.

I'm already tired of hearing the Berger story being repeated on CCN and it's not even 11 am. But I'm sure it'll continue into the day and make it to the network news tonight.

Breuer said the Justice Department and the FBI have informed him that Berger is the subject of a criminal probe but not a target.
