Wayne, I shouldn't have picked just on Bush and Kerry. What about the love affair the press has with Alan Greenspan? I know they don't have access to the intelligence that the White House and the Senate has or to the numbers AG has, but that shouldn't prevent hard questions. And, nary a question about steroids during Schwarzennegar's goobernatorial (on purpose misspelling) campaign. Even the New York Times itself got off with lame apologies on a journalist making up stories and another one inventing WMD when none existed.

I'm not really talking about the extreme opinionators such as Limbaugh or Moore. Nobody expects news from those sources. I'm just seeing an absence of thought process and real research throughout the so-called legitimate press. Fortunately, with the internet, we get access to foreign media to keep it real.
