Irving Fisher, actually not that bad an economist but he said the wrong thing at the wrong time and made himself immortal.

I was just looking at an inactive savings account at my bank that sits there with just over a thousand dollars in it. I use it once in a while as a way to transfer large balances locally. The interest payments for the last quarter total 43 cents. No wonder no one wants to save money.
