Fisa Brazil Seeks Creation of Yukos 2
Tuesday July 20, 5:00 pm ET

SAO PAULO, Brazil, July 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Financier Ricardo Repanas of Fisa Capital Partners Brazil announced that its subsidiary IBG Financial has sent Bruce Misamore, financial director of Yukos Petroleum in Russia, a proposed "Commitment Agreement" that could remove the immediate risk of negative flows in what he termed Yukos' current dollar-confidence ratio in the international market.
The proposal comprises several points, among them:

(a) the creation of a company called Yukos 2 that would be responsible for employees, suppliers, and legal regulations;
(b) fiscal controls and recovery of the international market's confidence;
(c) 12% increase in production, or approximately 2,000 barrels per day, with revenue forecast through 2010 of US$35 billion; and
(d) a new agreement with lending banks through 2006.
Repanas said that the international market recognizes Russia's President Putin to be a serious statesman who seeks to return normalcy to the situation immediately and make Russia an importer of capital in order to sustain his macroeconomic policy.
