"they probably have known for months the stuff was missing...."

They have for real. It's been on the news all day.
They are facing the reality they will lose this November. That's all.

I hope John Kerry speaks of the fact our minmum hourly wage ( $5.15) has not been raised in 7 years. Adjusted for inflation it should be $8.40/ hr.
There are good people out there dying because of that.

The Berger leak is a GOP dirty trick? Hmm. Maybe you're right.

I think it is a dirty trick. The Times is reporting that the republicans were joking that he took the documents out in his pants. Apparently they did not leave the National Archives in his pants or socks.

The affair took on a slightly comic note today, as Republican senators said Mr. Berger had apparently put some papers in his trousers.

"Now, I don't know what happened to these documents after they were put in Mr. Berger's pants," Senator Saxby Chambliss of Georgia said today. "It's been reported in the press that these documents related to homeland security at our airports and at our seaports. And it's very interesting to note that those are two areas where Senator Kerry has been very critical of our Homeland Security Department."

You can't believe anything a republican says.

As for Seaports and Airports...well it's been known for a long time that these areas are vulnerable.

And the pants comment...dirty brush work harkening back to the Clinton days...no doubt.

Hi Chris,

Sometimes I just roll my eyes to the moon and wonder what the Hell is going on. Jeeesus, didn't Berger know what the Hell was going on? He should have, hanging around DC for so long..That he had to be extra clean.. That he couldn't carry out a piece of toilet paper stuck to his @ss and get away with it.... How loyal was he? Or did he just want to SOIL (pun, <ng>) the Kerry campaign for other reasons?.. I don't know, I am just wondering.. Again right before the election.

Sort of like Hillary Clinton and her national health care plan, a corner stone of their initial campaign.. She comes up with a 500 page cumbersome plan that everyone knows would sink it. Something that I could write, anyone could, double-spaced in 10 pages. So it goes by the wayside and she doesn't FIGHT for it.... And so nothing happens to one of our number one domestic problems.... Maybe she wanted it to sink..

Hell, I don't know.. I am just wandering in the desert and WONDERING.
