< So, is Ray Duray back on SI or are you talking to a Ray-bot? >

ACF, It's hard to know. But I like the word "Raybot" = a cyberspace version of the biological entity previously known as Raymond Duray.

I suppose at some stage such reverse avatars will be quite real. I had to check the dictionary for avatar dictionary.reference.com I didn't know about the Vishnu corporeal manifestation of a supernatural deity. This is the reverse, of a corporeal entity being manifest in the supernatural in cyberspace.

The Raybot did seem very mechanistic and tame. The bit of humour, "reminiscing isn't what it was" was the sort of thing a Raybot would come up with by asking Google for a cutesy saying.

Later dude,
Mqbot

PS: I'm happy to brighten your day. I should put an email address up so people could Paypal me some appreciative cash. I havne't bothered as I doubt the payments would be worth the hassle. The tax department would hound me too. When we have these Mebots up and running, with the Q or U [Utopia] currency stashed in encrypted cyberspace, it'll be worth having a cyberaccount. Imagine such a currency replacing those junky governmental fiat promises which are not worth the paper on which they are printed. A Utopia, owned by the holders, controlled by the holders. That'll be cool.
