Good point. In general, wages tend to track inflation, but they have fallen behind of late. Implicit in my assertions is the idea that wages track the inflation.

I'll bet real wages are lagging real inflation (including food and energy) by a whopping 4-5% at this point. Should definitely be an election issue, and sounds like the Demos will push it. And as they do, that's when the Wizards of Oz lose the credibility. The cognoscenti will finally realize Easy is only a propagandist behind the Oz curtain who is merely pulling "sound effect" levers. Then it gets real interesting.
