Dan Rather is so desperate to get Kerry elected that he will underwrite Sandy Berger's continuing efforts to change the documents to favor the Democrats. And it looks as if Rather will have to pay huge lawyer's fees as the fiasco continues.

Certainly, this is an odd time in the investigation for a leak. What explanation do you have for the timing of this leak?
