The cultural similarities between India and Afghanistan are many. Both originate from traditional, agrarian, patriarchic, feudal societies. Over the past few decades, small segments of the Indian population have progressed while most Indians on India still cling to their traditions. Afghanistan has had a more rocky past and so the rich and educated folks of Afghan origin are more likely to live outside Afghanistan and not inside. Most Afghans in Afghanistan still cling to their traditions too.

I am now looking for Dipys for Kerry. Yes, poor Kerry. Already has to replace several folks: Sandy Berger, who wasn't really an employee yet, just an advisor-in -waiting...<large tongue-in-cheek>, and Richard Clarke...who seems to have been shaded a bit grayer....and oh my, yet another....Big Joe Wilson....who never tires of sweet tea... Awsome picks Kerry....next you will be calling for Whoopi. Defense Secretary???? Heavens, her mouth alone would scare most of the planet...
