I always believe what Gergen has to say and he has rarely come out in defence of anyone so vehemently - that he has worked with. (He worked with both Republicans and Democrats).

I want the wingers to try to make political hay out of this. It always backfires. If Berger is guilty of anything .. let him have his day in court and be either aquited or punished depending on the outcome.

The White House knew about the Berger investigation a long time ago but chose two days before the 9-11 finding to leak it. So this begs the questrion, what are their motives? More distraction, cover-up and trying to blame their own massive failure to stop 9-11 on someone else.
