Fair enough, though personally, I think we would have been better off with much more substantial reforms of every department involved with homeland security. Let's do that before throwing more money at bureaucracies. And yes, we could have done a much better job getting the international community involved.

But in regard to Iraq, to me, the stuff you mentioned are also things we should have done. To you, however, those are things we should have done instead of Iraq. It's the question of Iraq that demands either action or inaction. Or half-assed action, which the U.N. was good at. But I do see your viewpoint, especially when you consider that we have budget deficits and no stomach for tax increases.

And your Christian thing isn't worth discussing.

Then don't bring it up unless it's relevant. Like I said before, that wasn't the first time.
