In case you didn't know, I have earlier intimated to one poster who waxed enthusiastic on the things the Kerry administration could do for the US,

that reality might constrain/impose on the new administration to continue to adopt some old policies or slightly modified policies. This would be akin to putting old wine in new bottles, in a manner of speaking!

Rand Beers is terrific. Nothing wrong with cracking down on narco-terrorists and drug cartels. But Kerry will (if he can) go light on end users, particularly the Rush Limbaugh type or many of my friends who enjoy an occasional joint. Marijuana could not be criminalized except in large quantities. Actually even then the governmkent should just tax it heavily and thereby help pay for our health care system.
