I thought cell phones didn't work from planes if flight. It makes sense because the cell phone operating on 3 volts of power would not be able to reach a tower on the ground.

I still hold to the idea that there were no hijackers at all. There's a lot of proof pointing to that. The remotely controlled planes were flown into the towers. None of the hijackers had the skill to fly those planes into the towers so accurately on the first pass. I could see more truth in it if they missed and came around again or sheered off a wing. But not dead on accurate.
