If you think it matters whether he intentionally tucked notes, papers, whatever into his pockets or his shorts makes any functional difference, then by all means continuing chattering away on this subject. It's evident that you don't care about what he did, just the particular terms in which you want to discuss it. Have fun with it. I'm sure there are other posters who'd be happy to discuss the relative merits of coat pockets vs. pant pockets vs. briefs vs. shorts with you. I'm not one of them.
