Bush failed to undo 8 yrs of neglect in 8 mos. You have a point there. A might small one. Prior to January 2001, Al Qaeda had killed US troops in Somalia, bombed US barracks in Saudi Arabia, bombed two American embassies in east Africa, and bombed the USS Cole. I'm not including the '93 WTC bombing though Khalid Shah Mohammed, an AQ associate, was involved in the planning. But I guess IYO we couldn't get Osama till after Jan 2001.

Zonkie which of the following do you think may be true? Maybe one, maybe none, maybe 3. 1- FDR, and America were at war in the Western Front in Dec.. 7th 1941. (We were at war with Germany.) He wanted the USA into the Eastern Front, to face the Japanese occupation and domination of their neighbors. He knew of the impending attack on our soil Dec 7, 1941, and allowed it to happen. He wanted us in for noble reasons. The intercepts were on his desk. 2- JFK was assasinated by a group of Texans and their helpers, mad as hell at him for his positions in Cuba and his impending firing of J. Edgar Hoover. LBJ wanted his job. LBJ hated Bobby with a passion. Bobby was going to indict Hoover before his death. Hoover aided and abetted the assasination. 3- Bush wanted to go after Iraq and knew and allowed 9-11. He knew it in advance. He did not know how bad 9-11 was going to be.
