how did you uninstall?

I've heard the best way is to click start, programs, ZoneLabs, uninstall zone labs security

rather than going to control panel and using the add/remove feature

also this version was recommended to me:

4.5 Branch - 4.5.594.000. was released to the public on April 12, 2004.

- for I had installed ver 5 and although I wasn't freezing, I was in major hang time and it was getting worse

so, I did the uninstall, then reinstalled that version [4.5.594.000] and it eliminated the hang time

btw, I am using windows xp pro platform [if that makes a difference]

Re Zone Alarm 5.0.590.043

Funnily enough a day after I posted that message, Zone Alarm came up with a mod to version 5, so I downloaded the mod and ran it on the 16th of June. I think they must of been hearing the complaints and did something about it.

The modified version has given me no problems since then. I use XP.
