This is a very misunderstood writing by Paul. First remember that he is writing to the saved Jews (Hebrews). And what happened was that some of the Hebrews who were born again didn't understand that all their sin was forgiven. They were so used to offering sacrifices for sins as they happened that they were not used to the total forgiveness in Jesus. So when they sinned again after being born again (as all men do) they tried to atone for it with the Law and sacrifices. And Paul heard about it and wrote them that they should not do that. And some of what Paul wrote was very hard to understand (for us in our time) unless we try and see the context that Paul was writing. This scripture series has been very misused by some to say that a person can lose their salvation, which is not possible.
