I understand. I am just saying that the United Speech puts a greater value on freedom of speech, and will not limit it without a clear and present danger. Expressing an opinion about a group, however noxious, is not grounds enough to restrain speech. Thus, to someone brought up here, it is usually considered an unacceptable exercise of government power to shut down someone like the pastor, all the more so because issues of religious freedom are involved. It is an important point of difference between Americans and most Europeans.
