There was a period in our History where our government used black men in research for syphilis... They didn't know about it. We also used humans in research for atomic fall out.

We are not the angels you may think. Every government can justify a good reason for what they do.

It's as Dr. Id said... who wins the war..the the others are the criminals..

And, no, I don't really care what happened 50 years ago. It's irrelevant to the present discussion.

But bogus WWII analogistic warfare is always fashionable here.

You are obviously having difficulty with the rules of warfare

You're right. I've never quite gotten the idea that there could be "rules" for warfare. It somehow sanctions a barbaric practice.

If you don't believe in war, your point is a good one. Otherwise, more silliness

Thank you, then, for agreeing that my point is a good one.

Your comparison of Saddam to us is pathetic; we are not equivalents. You might recall that he used chemical weapons on his own civilian population.

We sold him those weapons. We have done awful things to our civilian populations (i.e. minority populations). Equivalent to Saddam? Seems hard to compare immorality. We wiped out the Native Americans. Enslaved africans. I know that you don't like to go back in history, but then how can you compare? Every country is in a different historical place and context.
Saddam was obviously an awful man, but we have not been the saints that you imagine us to be.
