I saw it and am still digesting it. On the surface it struck me as lacking in candor... attacking innocuous nuclear plants, delaying elections, etc...

It seems to be saying, "be afraid, be very afraid." It points the fear that our leadership is in a position to abuse power. They could do this because we/they have such a strong position of power in the world, but I am not convinced by this article that such abuse is actually occurring... Which also gives evidence that they have created a position of respect for our strength in the world. I see no reason for countries or individuals to be afraid unless they are up to no good.

Caution is always a sensible way to view powerful entities and our representatives but this fear message was a little self serving and hypocritical. The author wants to create and use fear as a political tool while condemning government processes that cause fear...
