we were talking about the lead architects at msft who were offshored to india. The reason indian top employees can charge less is because they live like kings there for 1/3 US pay. Why do they live like kings on 1/3 US pay?

- they are not paying for the nations healthcare system
- they do not have to pay taxes to pay for the largest military complex in the world
- they do not pay for expensive environmental regulation etc

US workers making 100K pay about 45% out in taxes. Indians don't have this penalty to work. I'm sick of people blaming US workers for this mess. We can ship the elderly off to a third world nation and cut down on social security, why not do that?

Exactly. Before I went to college I needed money. I took a job as a clean-up boy in a bakery. I had to scrape the floors where the cakes and cookies were prepared. I washed all the sticky gooey industrial sized mixing bowls, cookie trays and hundreds of other items. Try to get one of our American unemployed clowns to take a job like that.
