It's a conspiracy, Nadine. And a coverup to boot. By comparison, W's hacks blowing Plame's cover is nothing. And W has given strict orders to get to the bottom of that one too.

As far as denying information to future investigations, given how hard W tried to block the 9/11 investigation in the first place, and how hard he tried to keep information from them, that's pretty rich. Plus given the blanket indefinite hold on access W has set in place as a matter of policy for presidential papers, history as conventionally interpreted ( as opposed to "history" of the conservative "Reagan won the cold war" political propaganda sort ) is going to have to wait a really long time for any general information about W.

One good thing about what Berger did, though, it gives the conservative apoplexy artists something new to wax indignant about. Beats all the long-in-the-tooth "hate America" garbage anyway.
