Sure. So what? You'd rather have dueling commission reports?

Whenever there is a consensus report, the less moderate will continue to advance their preferred version. They're free to do so. Whatever they do, though, will be officially non-mainstream, adding color and texture but not undermining. Seems to me like a Good Thing.

The Warren Commission Report was what LBJ wnated people to think, whereas the current administration is not all that sympatico with the 911 Commissions report.

The 911 Commission report is much more independent of the Administrations wishes. That is a big difference.

the difference I see is that the warren commission investigated and reported. the 9/11 panel supposedly investigated and reported and will now push their recommended solutions with the congress and white house through meetings etc. if nothing else, their continued work extends their per diem and bi-weekly pay checks for the indefinite future. <g>
