Duke

40 Million dollars is the amount that leaps to mind when I try to remember what Pottruck was paid for being head of the compensation committee for intel.

Perhaps you could provide a link?

Duke, he was not head of comp committee at the time I looked at it. Also, I'm absolutely positive Intel did not grant him 40m (it's possible Intc split a zillion times, but that's altogether a different thing.) Btw, State of CA has VERY strict laws about compensation committees and BODs, and you can absolutely bet that Intel is obeying these. (For example, as a board member, you can't vote on how much you think you're worth, you have to recluse yourself. You can't be apart of the committee where your comp gets set, and so on.) His pay did look on the higher side, but Intel seems to hit the middle of industry norms. If there's an issue, then the issue would be with industry norms. But again, your figure mistates what was granted.
