Actually I avoid unpleasant questioners, especially the one who tries to use me as a sounding-board to make points in the direction of doug and DAN. Why don't you remove the "ignore" and speak to them directly? With your experience and knowledge it might make an interesting debate.

PS If you were my student I would teach you how to ask a question that does not determine its response, thereby avoiding obfuscation and opening the door to genuine discovery.

So, nearly 2 years ago, they guessed 7 quarters until 90nm, now it looks like 8, and we're supposed to be alarmed? This is your new schtick, isn't it? Except you don't seem to explain why Itanium didn't launch in 1997 as Intel said it would. I'm curious as to why Intel couldn't deliver Merced on time, that's all.
