Ted, If you really understood how the elite in this country view us.......the middle classes......you would get very angry in a heartbeat.

The very funny thing about that statement is that Moore, Kerry, Edwards, Ted Kennedy, etc., are all part of that elite.


Maybe so........but not one of those people would be so stupid as to say "the haves and have mores are my base". That comment speaks volumes about Mr. Bush's attitudes and is the equivalent of "let them eat cake. Why Kerry doesn't put that in an ad is beyond me.

By the way, the whole "class warfare" argument breaks down once you consider that the "red states" earn considerably less money than the "blue states."

Not the ones in those red states that are voting for Bush......or did you think the black cotton farmer was giving his vote to Bush?

(Of course to be fair, the "blue states" are also more educated ... which if you think about it, tends to breed an elitism of its own.)

Yes, an elitism that at least in principle believes in democracy and its import.
