Yeah, right! Our efforts in Iraq have been noble. <g>

.......... The congressional resolution and the motives of the bush regime were totally divergent.

Those aren't the worst parts of the congressional authorization for junior to take us to war brumar. The worst part of all was these two parts.
----
Whereas the President and Congress are determined to continue to take all appropriate actions against international terrorists and terrorist organizations, including those nations, organizations, or persons who planned, authorized, committed, or aided the terrorist attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001, or harbored such persons or organizations;
----

The above paragraph gives junior the power to invade any country he can make a case against. We all know to what lengths he went to with his phony case against Iraq. What is to stop him from doing this again if diebold delivers the election to him or Karl and others decide he needs another war before the election.

Another of the worst parts of the document is that it has no sunset provision in it. In other words our war president can attack anytime he wants and nobody can stop him. Junior's power to attack anyone he wants doesn't expire. Robert Byrd gave speech after speech trying to make congress understand how wrong it was to give this power to our war president without a sunset clause. When he finally got it on the floor for a vote only 31 people voted to put the sunset provision in.

I hope the neocon's don't become so desperate they feel their only chance at finally being elected once is to attack another country. Everyone should be hoping the same thing.
