Had 101 on our thermometer on the deck. there was filtered sunlight on the back, but not enough to change the reading that much.

Going to be hard to sleep tonight.

We're going up to spend the night at the property after hubby does a bit of work in the morning. Then to a birthday bbq on Sunday with the family.

Good luck at the casino tomorrow. Can't blame you for finding some air conditioning, and what a good place to do so.

;)

Only 100 today in Reno, not a record, but close. Still 85 at 11 PM. More heat coming for the next few days.

About midnite, I thought we were being attacked by somebody. Not sure what happenned, but it sounded like a warehouse full of all kinds of fireworks went off in about five minutes. Sounded as if within a 1/8 mile or less from me. I didn't hear any sirens so who knows; afterall, this is the setting of the "Reno 911" TV show. Univ NV is practically across the street, and a community center and Ag Exposition Building and Rodeo place also nearby within a couple of blocks. I guess I'll have to wait for Saturday newscasts. Paper just got here at 3:30 AM, but probably printed before the excitement.
