KT, i do not know may details about how he trades, my understanding is that he unwinds positions quite often. He mentioned something like 10,000 shares per stock.

He does not offer to much information any way and I do not ask to many questions. So I do not know what type of stock are in the mix and I assume there are not high Beta stocks as the spreads there are also to wide any way.

For sure there is no free lunch but for now it works from my observations.

In another vein I am still trying to figure out why the strong move in the USD mostly against European FX. It does not seem to me that "talk" is all what is about more so a day after Deutsche Bank predicted 1.37 EUR/USD in 60 days <GG> Well we have still 58 days to go

everyone I've known in the past who took huge risk for a large number of small gains ended up ruined.

that is exactly the opinion presented in Taleb's "Fooled By Randomness". also, Niederhoffer's book is a good example of being on the "receiving end".

One problem is gap moves

and another problem is liquidity (which is more variable than "sophisticated mathematical models" assume), and another problem (if you're a big enough fish) is that once word gets out that you're having problems, other market participants can front run you, exacerbating losses.
