Tom, I will answer your silly question if you address my post which initiated your question. Here's the bottom line. America's support for Israel is but a secondary motivation. The primary motivation wasn't political, but ideological. It all has to do with America's growing influence in the world, not just in political terms, but also cultural, social, and religious. That last statement is a loaded one. What do you mean when you made it and how does supporting Israel effect it? ted

Still believe Jews rule the world by proxy? If not, how else would you explain America being so pro-Israel, even as the rest of the world becomes more pro-Palestinian? Obviously, Jews don't rule the world. They don't even rule the West Bank. Pro-Israeli American Jews exert massive pressure on our government to support Israel. There is direct lobbying, and there is also indirect lobbying, via media and scholarly crusades. So, Hollywood Jews like putting images of Arab terrorists in movies. And intellectual Jews like Bernard Lewis dedicate their lives to developing sophisticated anti-Arab profiles. Direct lobbying usually takes the form of appealing to a power center. Israeli lobbyists cultivate a relationship with right-wing Christians, convincing them that scripture dictates support for Israel. Israeli lobbyists tell oil lobbyists that they would benefit if we invade Iraq to steal the French/Russian/Chinese oil contracts. Tom
