Good memories.

I took a friend from Philadelphia to the Washington Monument at midnight when they were refurbishing it before 9/11. She and others who the park people took up were awed-----and I was also as I had never seen the city at midnight from the top of the monument.

Another place to see the city is the Old Post Office in D.C. if they still allow it. This may be forbidden now.
