Our community is one of the older communities on the net and as such we can expect that the process of infolution will be most visible here, and in places similar to this land. The life of each avatar we construct and maintain in cyberspace has a real effect on each of us and a real effect on this world. We are living here, even in the most diminished sense this is true, we tap out the hours, we flesh out the noncorporeal bodies we inhabit, we change, we grow and in the end, just like there, we will die. The life process we are involved with in this land is a rapid fire compared to slow burning of our chemical analogs. The rapid progress of life here is a combination of the old organic realm and the new infosphere, the old process of evolution does not apply to the life in the new land, here, the process is infolution. The ability to accept or reject data, flexibility in choosing inputs and the ability to output are all hallmarks of true life in the new land. In simply lurking we make choices, our internal dialogue is modified as soon as we listen to another member and the soapbox hosts some uncommonly varied voices.
