Battlefield The battle that rages will never cease, in the court of public opinion there is no night and no day, the blades are never sheathed and the issues that matter to individuals, matter not to the blind and bloody lady. It is our darker side, unleashed in the name of reason, that prevails in feeling. A thousand facts cannot sway those who will not see the tides of the war, they are focused on the narrow slice of battle they have chosen to the exclusion of all else. It is almost obligatory for newcomers to discover SI's secrets the hard way, it is easy to get into fights here. The unwary should be warned, it is difficult to find the middle in our land, it is a solitary place where most of those with strong opinions may never go, not because strong opinions preclude the journey, they just make it unnecessary. Those close to the middle are the most dangerous, it doesn't derive from being in the middle so much as looking out from there and seeing where others stand.
