The new dev is going to have some excellent tools that will allow members to penetrate the veil of our community more fully. It is good to know how someone might feel about the president or the powers that rule the cosmos, but our essential area of interest as a community has been and will always be investing.
The premise upon which this land was fashioned was smart investors gathered together, a fairly simple idea. There is ample room here for every good act under the sun, there is room for any discussion which centers on wealth or poverty, there is room to talk about anything that we can conceive of, and in the end, we will still live in a land that was created to discuss investments and our place in this land will always be tempered by this fact. There hasn't been a lot of stars in the investment arena if you are looking for great predictions about what to buy or when to buy it (psssst, wanna buy some butter) and the condition of the market is not the only reason. It is very difficult to establish any new camp near the center of this world. It is far easier to spend credibility than it is to gain it. To any publicly listed corporation the loyalty of any investor is a valuable commodity. That loyalty becomes more valuable when expressed by a respected member of an investment community.
