I am sure a lot of readers would like to know more about certain incidents in Tim's colourful history here on SI and I will tell you without hesitation I deliberately removed certain names and references from the story before it was ever started, the omission is probably obvious to those who knew Tim and participated in his life here on SI. I have no intention of dissecting Tim in public and my purpose in writing these tales was to acknowledge that Tim was a member of our community, that he lived here and that his life here is part of our story whether that be good bad or ugly.
It wouldn't be a true community if we kicked out all the annoying people, it would be a club. There are several members who I think at times should be kicked out, then I realize that this notion is fallacious. It wouldn't be a true community if we never once felt a bond that went farther than our friends and supporters. It is difficult to write a long story and focus on a single thing through the whole telling, community. I have I hope made only vague references to the fact that I too have opinions.
Through this medium we have access to the shadows of our real selves, and these shadows do not depend on light. Tim Luke was one such shadow, as are you and I, each of us cast by the light of a web woven from countless souls.
